News

On Friday, April 10th Wayne White was honored for his work in the field of entomology as the University of Maryland Entomology Department’s Distinguished Alum of the Year. Annually, each department within the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences selects one alum honoree to attend an awards presentation and luncheon with the Dean. In 1980, Wayne received his Bachelor of Science degree in Entomology from the University of Maryland, where he studied the biology and behavior of urban and structural pests. Over the years, he has maintained a close relationship with the department and has helped to coordinate an intern program for university entomology graduate students here at American Pest. Wayne looks forward to cultivating further opportunities to mentor students of the University of Maryland’s Entomology Department.
