Rodent Awareness Week is November 16-22, 2014

Mice    Rats    Rodents

The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) has designated the week of November 16-22, 2014 as Rodent Awareness Week.

It’s the time of the year when shopping malls begin to decorate for the holiday season, fireplaces are being prepared for use, and the weather outside has dropped more than a few degrees. While the colder weather means seeing less of those pests that wreaked havoc in the summer and early fall, it means the opposite for one of the most troublesome household pests – the rodent.

With the colder temperatures, rodents will be looking to find warm places to stay. For the common mouse or rodent, your home seems like the perfect place to spend the chilly, winter season. In order to raise awareness about the health and property risks associated with these pests, the PPMA has declared November 16 – 22, 2014 as Rodent Awareness Week. To assist with these efforts, American Pest will be sharing posts on our blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts with information, tips, and tricks when it comes to dealing with these furry pests.

If you are currently dealing with a mouse or rat problem in your home, contact a professional. Only a Pest Control Professional will be able to correctly identify the species that is invading your property and take the appropriate steps to safely and humanely eliminate them from your home.
